Dyes can be crafted from Flowers, which are relatively rare; Ink Sacs, which are obtained from killing Squid; and Bones, obtained from killing Skeletons. They can also be obtained from Cocoa Beans.

Usage

Dyes can be used to dye Wool, Sheep, Hardened Clay, Concrete Powder, Leather Armor, Wolves' collars, Shulker Boxes and Shulkers.
Ink Sacs are used to craft Dark Prismarine.
Cocoa Beans are used to craft Cookies and can be used to grow more Cocoa Beans.
Lapis Lazuli is used in Enchanting and to craft Lapis Lazuli Blocks.
Bone Meal is used to quickly grow various plants in Farming and to make Bone Blocks.
