Flint, added in Update 0.3.3, is an Item which has a chance to be dropped when Gravel is mined.

Obtaining

There is the normal 1/6 chance of getting it by mining normal Gravel by hand, but the chance of obtaining it using a Shovel is slightly increased (to about 1/5 chance).

Crafting

• 1 Flint + 1 Iron Ingot => 1 Flint and Steel
• 1 Flint + 1 Feather + 1 Stick => 4 Arrows

Usage

The main use of Flint is for Crafting Arrows or Flint and Steel. Arrows are useful as ammunition for Bows, and Flint and Steel can be used to ignite stuff like the Nether Portal, TNT or Fire in general.

It can also be used in Trading to acquire Emeralds.

Trivia

• It is not renewable, since the Gravel is consumed when returning Flint, and when trading it is given to the Villager, not received.
• If Gravel is destroyed by falling on a non-solid Block (e.g. Torches), it won't drop Flint.
